What started a

s a birthday bash has grown over the years to become a reconisable reggae/ danchehall festival. One which targets to uplifts the youthful less privileged but talented ones of ghetto dwellings hence it was dubbed Ghetto salute. This year being headlined by One drop band featuring Slottah, G Hyper na Cutey Kay, while among other artists is Mankind, Ras Fraternity, Utterance, Jungle Judah, Dizzman Kartel and many more. This is a range of singers and chanters ranging from roots rock reggae, lovers rock reggae to dancehall. The poetic chanting skill of Dizzman Kartel in several local languages is nothing to go bye as it was a sure hit on last edition of Ghetto salute.


Highgrade sound will debut at this years event while they receive an anticipated warm welcome from Junkyard sound that has been a regular feature over the years. Selectors Smokey and Ghost are excited in sharing the stage with their longtime colleagues in the game such as Selector Ballas. To put the icing on the cake Reggae Dogs will also be gracing the occassion and have been quoted to say "We Will deliver a show of a lifetime". As it is the chief organisers are very optimistic of a full house at Trenchtown, Observatory, Capetown with Radio Movement and Cross Borderz Entertainment citing that advance tickets are almost sold out.

Dread Productions is deghlited to be associated with this major event as the chief production consultant A show not to be missed with all major players sharing one stage , one love , one aim and one destiny.
